Applying For Medicare

When getting ready to apply for Medicare, the two important concepts to understand are Medicare Eligibility and Medicare Enrollment.

Most people first become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65 (and anyone with a qualifying disability may be eligible before 65).  Some people are automatically enrolled in Medicare, while the majority of people end up having to enroll themselves.

Here are some additional resources which may be helpful to you as you get ready to apply for Medicare:

No matter your situation, or when you plan to retire, we can help answer your Medicare eligibility and enrollment questions.   There is no cost or obligation for our services.

Did you know?  Your Initial Enrollment Period begins 3 months before your 65th birthday -- even if you're still working!

Turning 65?

As you approach your 65th birthday you may have questions about enrolling in Medicare, and how Medicare works with Employer coverage if you plan to keep working.

Our licensed advisors help you:

  • Understand the different Parts of Medicare (Part A, B, C, and D)
  • Understand what it's going to Cost
  • Know how and when to Enroll
  • Understand how Medicare coordinates with Employer Health Coverage
  • Get Quotes and Compare various Medicare insurance plan options
  • Avoid penalties for late enrollment

You only turn 65 once.  Make sure your coverage starts right -- and fits your life and budget from Day 1.

Working Past 65

As more people choose to work past their 65th birthday, they ask questions like:

  • Can I delay enrolling Medicare until I retire?
  • How does Medicare work with my existing Employer coverage?
  • Are there penalties for missing a Medicare enrollment window?
  • How to cover a younger spouse when I stop working and lose Employer coverage?

Give our team a call and in minutes we'll walk you through everything you need to know if you or your spouse plan to work past age 65.
